Hodad’s Burger Shop Hodad’s is a family-run burger restaurant located along Newport Ave. in Ocean Beach, California – very close to the ocean. The primary focus of the menu is large-sized hamburgers (with standard toppings) along with french fries, onion rings, and thick milkshakes. They also have a good selection of craft beers including some produced by Hodad’s Brewery. The restaurant first began serving burgers in San Diego in 1969 before being established at their present-day location on Newport Ave. (in Ocean Beach) in 1991!
